Stonework
I hold a level one qualification in dry stone walling. I have received over 80 hours of instruction from a dozen practitioners including several master craftspeople through the Stone Trust, located in Dummerston, Vermont, as well as its sites in New York, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania. I achieved my initial certification after a successful test in May, 2024, and I continue to work toward the next level of certification.
Let’s discuss new projects: patios, freestanding walls, driveway entrances and follies, retaining walls.
I have also spent over a decade working to create editorial products, and to bring these two threads of expertise together, I currently offer several kinds of reports on existing masonry features. If you want to understand more about what you’re looking at before deciding on whether to restore or repurpose, I’d be excited to talk to you.
I am dedicated to sharing my passion and excitement for drystone masonry in order to help preserve knowledge and practice of this ancient craft.
These reports are great ways to start a conversation about existing stonework and what to do with it.
